Jenny Lee

Jenny Lee is a researcher working on materiality, speculative futures and human design. After graduating from Central Saint Martin she set up her design studio, Aikieu, carrying on collaborative projects with industry players from several fields such as biology, botany and technology.

One of her works called Immateriality: The Future Human, explores the idea of a fashion collection designed in 2070. Instead of garments or accessories, digital skins are created through morphogenesis and mineral crystallisation processes. It's an amplified look at couture, migrating from external objects to the body itself to enhance the consumers as they strive to find the perfect body.

She is also the author of Material Alchemy, a book on innovative material design I still have to get my hands on. More on that soon
